Bondeck would like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey, Linden Homes and our many other clients for their kind and encouraging New Year letters to us.
Teamwork is vital to ensure we all get through the current unpleasantness and this is the central theme of these letters. By working together as partners to reduce costs through open and honest negotiation, we can ensure that we all have a future.
We can only echo the wry comment to us from Neil Dearmer, Commercial Director at George Wimpey West London; ”We hope that 2009 will be over as quickly as possible!!” (The downside with wishing the year away is that we’ll soon have to drag the xmas tree back down from the loft again!!)
We would like to extend a very big thank you to all our clients and wish them all the very best for 2009.

Barratt Developments chief executive Mark Clare has ruled out further large scale job losses after boosting sales volumes.
After shrinking the business in July – a process that involved 1,200 job losses – Barratt embarked on a sales push that included price deals.
The house builder has seen average sales in the past 10 weeks grow 18 per cent on the previous 10 weeks.
Sales for the 19 weeks to 9 November averaged 197 a week, down 23 per cent on the previous year. But since the beginning of September, sales have averaged 233 a week, down 6.6 per cent on the same period last year.
Peter Bond Business Development Manager for Bondeck said “This fits with what we are finding across the board. Most of of our developer clients are increasing build rates and although things are still very tight, the mood is slightly more optimistic.”
